Opportunity for a full-time veterinary surgeon
We are looking for someone with a love of clients and their pets to join our happy and dedicated team. You will be comfortable with all aspects of small animal medicine and enjoy surgery. We are happy to support Certificate study.
You will be part of a friendly team of 7 full and part-time vets and 22 qualified nurses, many with additional qualifications and skills. We have been a respected Orthopaedic referral practice for 30 years, and also offer regular clinics with a visiting Diplomate Cardiologist and an Advanced Practitioner Ophthalmologist. Our nursing and reception team are experienced, friendly and supportive.
If you look around our website, you will see that we are an RCVS Approved Hospital with 5 (yes five!) Outstanding Awards and ICC Gold Cat-Friendly status and are also working towards several further accreditations. We have on-site CT scanning with a dedicated radiographer, laparoscopy and full Hospital equipment.
We cover our own 24-hour emergency service in-house, as we believe that this is in the pets and clients’ best interests and allows us to provide continuity of best care.
Your normal working week is 4 days (36 hrs) and one night duty and one weekend in 4. We offer a generous salary dependent on experience.
We are committed to continually investing in our team, equipment and facilities to ensure we always provide our patients with the best care possible and our staff with the opportunity to be the vets and nurses they always wanted to be. Certificates are fully supported, funded and encouraged. We also provide personal development CPD to enhance your enjoyment of veterinary life, such as Vet Dynamics Vet Academy and the Colourful Consultation.
We have embraced new technology and ways of working throughout this pandemic and believe that many of the things we have learned will be applied to further enhance the personal, high-quality service that we offer. As an independent and aspirational practice, we are always on the look-out for different ideas to constantly develop the way we work.
So, if you’re passionate about client and animal care, and love being part of a committed team who learn and develop together whilst eating a lot of cake, drop us an email ([email protected]) and we can call you at a convenient time.
