Vacancy for a Full or Part-time Vet
We are looking for someone with a love of clients and their pets, who is comfortable with all aspects of small animal medicine and is comfortable with emergency surgery, to join our happy team.
We are an independent RCVS Approved Hospital with 5 Outstanding Awards and ICC Gold Cat-Friendly status and are also working towards several further accreditations. We have on-site CT scanning with a dedicated radiographer, laparoscopy and full Hospital equipment.
You will be part of a friendly team of 7 vets and 22 qualified nurses, many with additional qualifications and skills. Our nursing and reception team are experienced, friendly and supportive. We have been a respected Orthopaedic referral practice for 30 years, and also offer regular clinics with a visiting Diplomate Cardiologist and an Advanced Practitioner Ophthalmologist.
We cover our own 24-hour emergency service in-house, as we believe that this is in the pets’ and clients’ best interests and allows us to provide continuity of best care. Your normal working week is 4 days (36 hrs) with one night duty and one weekend in 4. We offer a generous salary, dependent on experience.
“I’ve never worked somewhere where everyone seems so happy, and is so lovely to work with”
“Such a pleasure working with you guys. You have such a fab team, having worked in many places, you should be so proud”Quotes from locums, 2021
We are committed to continually investing in our team, equipment and facilities to ensure we always provide our patients with the best care possible and our staff with the opportunity to be the vets and nurses they always wanted to be. Certificates are fully supported, funded and encouraged. We also offer personal development CPD to enhance your enjoyment of veterinary life, such as Vet Dynamics Vet Academy and the Colourful Consultation. We offer IMS placements for vet students in their final year at college and are enjoying helping the next generation of vets develop their skills.
We have embraced new technology and ways of working throughout this pandemic and believe that many of the things we have learned will be applied to further enhance the personal, high-quality service that we offer. As an independent and aspirational practice, we are always on the lookout for different ideas to constantly develop the way we work.
So, if you’re passionate about client and pet care, and love being part of a committed team who learn and develop together whilst eating a lot of cake, drop us an email ([email protected]) and we look forward to talking to you.
